Following years of internal discussions and negotiations, the Israeli Knesset decides to establish the Israel Land Administration, a centralized body tasked with land administration and policy planning. The entity is entrusted with full control over "Israel Lands" (as defined by the Basic Law: Israel Lands). In addition, a council is provided for in the law, the composition of which assigns almost half of the seats to the Jewish National Fund, thereby guaranteeing exclusive focus of the Israel Land Administration on Jewish interest, at the expense of Palestinian stakes in the land.
